Mentor Support Program

TEDU Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) runs two different mentorship programs called “First Year Student Mentorship” and “TEDU 102–Service Learning Course Mentorship.” Within the scope of these mentorship programs, TEDU students participate in a mentor training program prepared by CTL, and the students who successfully complete this training take on the role of mentor.

First Year Student Mentorship

The First Year Student Mentorship program is designed to support the adaptation process of our newly enrolled students to TEDU. The program is carried out under the guidance of our mentors, who are selected from among 2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-year TEDU students, and it lasts for one academic year. Within the scope of the program, guidance is provided on the advantages of being a TEDU student, life on the TEDU campus, and TEDU student support services and systems.

TEDU 102-Service Learning Course Mentorship

Within the scope of the TEDU 102 course, students develop group projects by taking into account the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with the support of the course instructors. Mentor students who have previously taken this course support current students in carrying out their projects. In the 2024–2025 Spring semester, 33 mentor students guided 749 students taking the TEDU 102 course during the project implementation phase.
