TED University Center for Teaching and Learning is inviting our academicians to the seminar entitled "Social Brains of the Digital Era" by Dr. Soner Yıldırım.

Abstract:

This workshop aims to explore physiological and psychological foundations of human learning from a chronological perspective.  Additionally, current challenges of contemporary teaching environments including social media addiction, nomophobia and fear of missing out will extensively be revisited in this workshop.  Finally, handling strategies and approaches will be offered for educators.

Bio:

Dr. Soner YILDIRIM received his Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from the University of Southern California (USC). He holds a Master of Arts degree in Educational Systems Development from Michigan State University (MSU) and Bachelor of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Hacettepe University. His research interest includes social media use in education, physiological and psychological foundations of learning, digital storytelling in education, and learning analytics.
